No More Freeways! Climate Leaders don’t Expand Highways!

Join Sunrise Movement PDX and No More Freeways on Wednesday, October 13th, 4:30 pm at 123 NW Flanders to protest ODOT’s proposed Rose Quarter Expansion of the I-5 freeway. The latest project design proposes a cap strong enough to hold buildings four to six stories high, paid for by not only state funds but mandatory funding from local governments: the City of Portland, Multnomah County, and Metro…whether they like or not.

At a time when we need to be reducing fossil fuels in general, this proposed expansion is a slap in the face and the cap will do little to protect nearby residents from increased air pollution and more. Let’s just say “NO!”
