Join the Stop Zenith Caravan: May 2nd, 1pm

Join us by bike or car on Sunday, May 2nd, to gather postcards from North Portland to deliver to City Council about stopping Zenith’s tar sands oil export facility.

We will meet at 1 pm in McCoy Park at 4677 N. Trenton Street in North Portland [map].  We have built a model oil tanker car as an eye-popping prop showing the danger of these trains carrying explosive, toxic tar sands through Portland! We will be handing out Blast Zone signs and stickers as well as asking folks to write postcards that we will gather for City Council.

A small vehicle caravan will cover areas in Columbia Villa, the neighborhood around Roosevelt High School (right above the train tracks), and then Central St. John’s district before looping around and heading back to McCoy Park.
