When you’re being repressed by the police — teargassed or hit with other chemical munitions; beaten and shoved; arrested with federal charges; and more — it doesn’t make you feel one bit better that it’s happening under a liberal Democratic administration, such as Oregon Governor Kate Brown’s. In a way, it’s worse: Not only should they should know better, but they probably do and are doing it anyway.
